Report Dangerous Fireworks
The boom, crackle, and colorful light of fireworks happens in seconds, and the sound can carry for quite a distance. Catching someone in the act (possession or launching dangerous fireworks) is not an easy task for first responders. Without knowing where the activity is occurring, public safety dispatchers can only provide general information to responders.
During holidays, emergency services experience a higher volume of calls, so it’s crucial to keep 9-1-1 lines open to report injuries, fires, or emergencies. While law enforcement and fire agencies cannot respond to every firework-related call, they prioritize responses to ensure public safety.
Please do not report noise complaints unless you can provide the exact location of the fireworks being set off. Use the phone numbers listed below, and be prepared for longer than normal wait times. Be patient with call takers, and provide the location of fireworks use. Units cannot be dispatched without a specific location to respond to.
