The Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District is excited to invite community members, business owners, public figures, and government officials to participate in our upcoming "Metro Fire Citizens Academy." This engaging 9-week course provides a fantastic opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of Metro Fire’s emergency response operations.

During the program, we will cover essential topics such as Fire and Rescue Operations, Water Rescue, Hazardous Materials, Emergency Medical Services, and more. These sessions aim to enlighten and empower participants with valuable insights.

Participants will also learn about Metro Fire's rich history and hear from our dedicated Administrative and Support Services leaders. This experience will help you appreciate the vital role of our All-Hazard Fire Department and highlight the importance of teamwork in delivering excellent service to our community.

Please mark your calendars for Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., beginning February 5, 2025, and concluding on April 2, 2025. Interested individuals must register by January 15, 2025, to be added to the interest list for this exciting opportunity. We look forward to seeing you there!
